Energy flows where attention goes…if we focus on what we don’t want, what we dislike, our fears, our anxieties; then we will manifest MORE of that negative yuckiness! Who wants to do that?! Not me! This principle applies to life, period. However, today we will focus on attracting healthy diet & lifestyle into your life and maintaining it long-term.
Starting your new diet and lifestyle plan with a list of foods to avoid starts you off on the wrong foot right off the bat! Why, you ask?
*You end up feeling deprived. You feel like you’re missing out.
*You haven’t found replacements for the things that you love. Nothing seems to be as tasty as the things you are “not allowed” to eat anymore.
*Others are eating the things you love to eat and drink. This adds to your feelings of deprivation, as you feel left out and alone in your quest for health.
*You may become confused about which foods and beverages you should avoid and even why you should be avoiding them, because reading food labels has become quite a confusing experience. Unless you get some guidance, you may not know what the manufacturer is talking about on the label. The commercialization of food has made it difficult to find foods that are tasty, nutritious and don’t cost a sh** ton! This is primarily due to the fact that most people aren’t looking for health foods and also because there aren’t many people who have mastered the art of taking healthy, whole foods and turning them into a healthy meal or even delicious sweet treats.
Start Focusing on What to ADD to Your Healthy Diet
*When you shift your mindset to gain rather than loss, it changes the game. One of my recent clients said, “that is the most fun I’ve ever had changing my diet. You’re making this fun!” This is because we started off adding great new healthy foods in and talking about the importance of nutrition. Positive talk about health motivates and inspires you.
